Brad A. Evans, CFA is a portfolio manager on the Value Plus and Value Funds. He initially joined Heartland in 1996 as a research associate, and then became a research analyst focusing on the Energy and Materials sectors. From 2001 to 2004, he was a research analyst with High Rock Capital in Boston. When he returned to Heartland in 2004, he joined the Value Fund investment team as a portfolio manager. In 2006, he joined the Value Plus Fund portfolio management team.
Brad has been frequently interviewed by the national financial media, such as Barron’s, Bloomberg, BusinessWeek and Wall Street Journal, on small-cap and value investing. In 2008, he provided a market outlook as one of six investment managers who participated in a roundtable discussion that appeared on smallcapinvestor.com. Brad graduated with honors from the University of Wisconsin – Madison with a B.A. in International Relations, Russian, and Political Science. Brad is a CFA charterholder.
